Old-World Custom Cabinetry in Denver

Traditional casework takes on a fresh perspective in this Crestmoor home by Devex Construction, where richly detailed cabinetry, natural wood tones, and unexpected color create a collected interior with a distinctly custom point of view.

Designed by Studio Shelter, warm rift white oak cabinetry brings furniture-level detail to the kitchen. Framed doors and drawers feature double-beaded shaker and add layered profiles to cabinetry, while substantial crown molding and a custom reeded range hood give the cabinetry an architectural presence. A contrasting painted island keeps the room light and approachable, allowing the warmth and character of the natural wood to take center stage.

That same attention to detail carries throughout the home, but with a willingness to change character from room to room. A dramatic burgundy finish transforms the mudroom and adjoining built-ins, pairing traditional millwork with reeded paneling, open shelving and brass accents. Elsewhere, light-painted cabinetry and natural wood built-ins offer quieter moments, creating continuity without requiring every space to match.

In the bathrooms, custom vanities continue the home's furniture-inspired approach. Natural rift white oak cabinetry, tailored construction and warm brass hardware complement expressive stone and tile selections, balancing traditional craftsmanship with a more contemporary mix of materials.

Throughout this project, cabinetry serves as more than storage. Changes in material, color, proportion and architectural detailing give each room its own identity while a consistent level of craftsmanship ties the home together.
