How It Works

Dream It

Every exceptional space begins with a vision. Start by gathering inspiration from our gallery, your favorite designs, and ideas that reflect your personal style. Think through how your cabinetry should look, function, and enhance the way you live. Our team will help guide you from those initial ideas into a thoughtful, customized design.

1

Visit the Showroom

Your experience begins with a personalized consultation at the DC&D showroom. We take the time to understand your vision, lifestyle, and goals while introducing you to our curated selection of cabinetry styles, finishes, and features. From the first conversation, our team is here to provide expert guidance and make the process enjoyable and effortless.

2

Receive Your Quote

After learning about your project, preferences, and priorities, we'll prepare a detailed proposal tailored specifically to your home. Every recommendation is thoughtfully considered to help you create a space that balances beauty, functionality, and your investment.

3

Design & Refine

Once your proposal is approved, a 20% deposit begins the custom design process. Our team creates detailed elevation drawings and collaborates with you to refine every detail — from layout and functionality to finishes and design features. You'll review samples and options along the way, giving you confidence that every choice reflects your vision.

4

Crafting Your Custom Cabinetry

With your design finalized and selections approved, we carefully coordinate production to bring your cabinetry to life. Once timelines are confirmed, our craftsmen begin creating your custom pieces with attention to detail and quality. Our average lead time for completed cabinetry is 6–10 weeks, with a 70% deposit due before materials are ordered and production begins.

5

Delivery & Installation

Your experience doesn't end when production is complete. Our skilled in-house installation team provides professional delivery and installation with the same level of care and attention given throughout the design process. We keep you informed at every stage, ensure your cabinetry is installed beautifully, and provide continued support through our Field Services team for any final adjustments or questions.

Distinctive Cabinetry & Designs built our kitchen and bar. They were creative, dedicated, and gracious. They were always very responsive to our ideas and needs. When we wanted to make some small changes toward the end of the project they responded quickly, cooperatively and very economically. The whole team was a pleasure to work with. We derive great pleasure from being in the kitchen and looking at it. Thank you Gretchen and team.

Toni Palan

We live in a 1960s mountain home (hello wonky walls) and they've installed two built-in cabinets that look absolutely flawless.

Natalie Miles

I absolutely love my kitchen, they did a wonderful job and were a pleasure to work with designing these cabinets.

Dana Polun

We used DC&D for our kitchen, mudroom, and bar renovation. Our designer had come up with some pretty unique custom details and they were able to get creative and find a way to say yes every time. The finished product is truly my dream kitchen and it makes me smile every morning when I wake up and make my coffee. They made the process as easy as possible (and fun!) and I would highly recommend them!

Kory Fasing

The team did a wonderful job of guiding us through the design and production process. Great experience overall and good value for money. Highly recommend!

Scott Wotring

This company is first class. We worked with DC&D to build custom cabinets for our kitchen remodel. We were so pleased with the quality and excellence we received. I highly recommend this company if you are in the market for excellent cabinets at a great price.
