Natural rift white oak takes center stage in this thoughtfully detailed kitchen and bath, where restrained cabinetry profiles allow material, texture and craftsmanship to define the spaces.
In the kitchen, warm wood cabinetry wraps the room in a consistent tonal palette, with slim ½” round shaker doors and drawers lending a clean, tailored character. Rather than relying on ornament, the design introduces dimension through subtle shifts in texture and form. Reeded detailing gives the island a furniture-like presence, while oversized custom-turned legs create an unexpected sculptural element at the seating area.
Integrated appliances and full-height cabinetry maintain the kitchen's quiet visual rhythm, while warm brass hardware and creamy stone surfaces provide a subtle contrast to the natural grain. The result feels contemporary but not stark—an understated kitchen where proportion and material do much of the design work.
The same cabinetry language continues into the bath, pairing light wood with a substantial integrated stone sink and brass fixtures. Tall storage and streamlined drawer fronts maximize function within a relatively compact footprint, while the restrained detailing allows the natural materials to remain the focus.
Together, the spaces demonstrate how a limited material palette can still feel highly custom: through thoughtful proportions, tactile details and cabinetry designed as part of the architecture rather than simply placed within it.
